Do I Even Cook is a food book that approaches food through art and design. Do I Even Cook started as a place to consolidate my recipes, art, essays, poems, experiences, etc. that were all inspired by my life with food. With that start to writing the food book, I asked myself, ‘Do I even cook?’.

Today the book walks readers through a food experience journey where your connection and relationship for and from food may not come from being a professionally trained chef or working in a high-profile kitchen. Maybe you just really love eating kale salads with fresh lime juice while sipping a beer on ice and that sparks so much joy for you, but you aren’t sure if you’re qualified to feel like you’re a foodie or share this meal with your friends. This book is a journey through finding passion in food both large and small scales.

The book serves as a platform for other individuals that have non-traditional careers or passions in food so we’re able to build this new community together at the table.
